SECRET GUSET
With over a quarter of a century in clubbing, Uroš Veselinović has seen it all: starting off breakdancing at matinee parties as early as the year 2000, he spent his formative years making mixtapes, collecting CDs, exchanging music libraries and running around Serbia’s capital city in search of sunrise.
His deejaying career began much later in the distant and vibrant Beijing clubbing scene around 2015 where he started throwing parties with his close friend as Vintage Future. Soon after, Uroš was noticed for his solo sets, quickly making a name for himself as VLTRA_U.
The young Serbian artist didn’t stop there: using his sharp ear and sense for music business he briefly became an integral part of Toxic Entertainment and Back2Basics – one of most notable event labels in China at the time. As part of the A&R Management and Resident DJ, he was a regular fixture in Beijing’s nightlife institution, the legendary Lantern Club, as well as clubs and festivals across the country. By the year 2020 Uroš received invitations to play Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, Amsterdam’s Red Light Radio, Berlin, Sarajevo and, finally, back to his hometown of Belgrade, as a touring artist.
After the world restarted in 2023, so did his international music career: moving back permanently to Serbia he adopted a new moniker, one he’s famous for today – Secret Guset. With regular visits to the Far East and notable club performances in Ufa, Samara and Kazan (RU), he has fully immersed himself back into the electronic music scene, not only as a performer but as a music journalist, artist booker and tour manager.
Aside from playing out other people’s tracks, Secret Guset made his own, with early releases on Eyes To The Front (UK), Infinity Minds (ES), and Nurture Records (CN). As part of Gulou Home Studio, a joint project with his significant other, he co-produced three EPs, signing for Serbian imprints like REWLER, WAXX TRAX and Raw & Concrete (MNE). More releases came as a solo artist, most notably for local labels such as Let’s Mix It! Records and Atipik Music, including Croatia’s Dobar House Gruv, showcasing his wide range of sonic taste bouncing between House, Techno, Electro, Minimal and beyond.
