MIRIAM MONDSHEIN

Miriam Mondshein grew up in West Germany, where she discovered music at the age of 3 through The Cure. In her teens, her passion for experimental sounds was impacted by the sound design of Apex Twin, Massive Attack and Tool. By moving to Berlin in 2007 Miriam’s understanding of Techno was influenced by the Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock’s Sets at Berghain.

As a DJ, producer and painter, Miriam uses her synesthesia to create psychedelic atmospheres, fusing techno, old school and deep exploration of B-sides. Her sound is characterized by vocal snippets, atmospheric loops, full bass lines and distortion, creating a meditative dance energy.

Her signature painting style and the multiple layers of her “HER(t)ZBLUT” project units art, neuroscience and music in a unique way that stands out and perfectly alignes with the aesthetic of Berghain wich got included in Ostgut-Ton’s comeback release “Klubnacht 01” as an art work. And so the cycle closes where it started: on the dance-floor!
